One man is in custody, and another sought, after New Orleans police say they took an ATM terminal from inside a laser tag business ineastern New Orleans.
A burglar alarm brought NOPD officers to Fun Frenzy Laser Tag, 6003 Bullard Ave., around 4 a.m. Monday (Nov. 17), police said. Officers found the front window shattered, police said, and the ATM terminal missing.
A check of surveillance footage showed two men leaving the business in a white Chevrolet Suburban, police said. When officers attempted to stop a Suburban a short time later, police said the vehicle tried to flee.
The driver and passenger eventually jumped out of the Suburban, but police managed to catch the driver, identified by NOPD as Wayne Horn, in the 5100 block of Bundy Road.
Horn, 27, was booked on one count of unauthorized entry of a business and one count of illegal possession of stolen things valued at greater than $1,500, court records show.
NOPD said officers found the ATM terminal, a cordless saw, bolt cutters and pry bars in the Suburban.
